Snap we finally played again today !!! 2 games only as only 3 teams available - w1 D1 - didn't concede a goal though against (reputedly) two very much stronger teams + 1 waac coach- after 9 weeks w/o any sort of game it was pleasing to see the lads slot into their usual patterns and massive committment straight from the off.

Happy just to play - but to play so well is a huge bonus after such a long break !!

Yippee we finally got to play a League game yesterday…………..and I must say what a brilliant performance from both sets of players a totally enthralling game, played hard fair and really competitive. We managed to win 1-0 with a goal 5 mins from the end.

The only disappointing thing was how those outside of the pitch and the man in the middle tried to influence the game; thankfully the kids (both sets) rose above it and played great competitive football.

We played our first game of 2010, to be honest I wasn't expecting much and we were third on so the pitch wasn't the best.

After seven minutes we were 4-0 up, after that the game settled down a bit and we ran out 6-2 winners. All the bpys did really well and two scored their first goals for the team so big smiles all round

Our game went ahead, their pitch was in good nick considering the weather we'd had in the previous 72 hours.
Lost 4-2.
Did really well, unlucky not to get at least a point from the game. Showed lots more committment and effort than the previous game we played and even the oppo manager, coach, ref and linesman all admitted that we were unlucky and that we deserved to get something from the game.
Next game is due for this Sunday (at home), although looking at the weather forecast for the remainder of the week would already say that the game would be in doubt due to our councils tendancy to call games off at the slightest sign of bad weather.

Ok here is a good one for you..............

One League match played since end of October - 9 matches to complete our League and guess what.............yes we have no fixture this weekend, it's a League "rest" weekend - mad or what!

We are trying to persuade them to get one of the bak log fixtures on so we can reduce the back log

Had similar in our u12s last weekend- 1st game able to be played since Mid Nov - oppo's had requested a w/e off as coach went to twickenham to watch the egg chasers!!!!

weather not looking great for this weekend either - so sat may well bite the dust.

Weather here really can't decide what it is doing today - we get 1 minute of really heavy blizzard then glorious sunshine like the middle of summer for the next few minutes. :?

We got 28 inches of snow last weekend and are in the middle of another 10-20 with wind gusts and blizzard conditions. The roads are so bad they canceled the indoor games because nobody can get there.
