I currently have my D certification for coaching soccer and i am looking into getting my C. Can anyone tell me how difficult it is and elaborate a little. Current cost is 650 plus room and board so I wanna make sure it is worth it.

Hi there,

I'm assuming the UEFA D is the FA Level 1? I've just completed the UEFA B (waiting for my assessment).

The UEFA C (level 2) is a very enjoyable, yet tough coaching badge. I did this last year and it lasted around 7-8 months. It's a huge step up from UEFA D as this badge needs to to "step in and coach". For example, I had a topic of Turning. So you would progress from a Technique drill, to a Skill drill, and then eventually to a 4v4. So in the 4v4, if a player turned when someone was up there backside, you would use the coaching Forumla "stop stand still" tell them were it goes wrong (or ask depending on coaching style) demonstrate what they should have done, let them have a go, then play "live".

Hope this helps.
